There are two ways to automate your prospecting. The first: buy a sending tool, a database, a warmup tool, a LinkedIn plugin, and spend your Friday evenings stitching it all together. The second: buy an agent, a system that runs the entire chain and delivers a result, not a dashboard.
Meetlane belongs to the second category. It is a French tool (published by Kraftech, based in Nantes, the same company behind Manuscry) that positions itself as a B2B AI prospecting agent: it identifies your prospects, writes personalized messages, sends them by email (and, if you choose, via LinkedIn invitation or physical mail), follows up, handles replies, and passes qualified meetings to you.
The promise is appealing. It deserves a closer look: how much it actually costs, what the agent truly does on its own, where it breaks down, and above what deal size it becomes profitable.
What Meetlane concretely does
1. It builds the list for you
This is the point people underestimate. In a classic prospecting campaign, 60% of the work happens before the first email: finding the right companies, the right contacts, valid addresses. Meetlane integrates profile search matching your target criteria and contact enrichment with verification. You describe your target (industry, size, role, geography); the agent fills the pipeline.
Direct economic consequence: you do not need a separate B2B database subscription or an email verification tool. In a classic stack, those are two line items that disappear.
2. It manages the sending infrastructure, and that is the real differentiator
The number-one reason cold email campaigns fail is not the message: it is that the message never arrives. Misconfigured domain, missing SPF/DKIM/DMARC, too-fast sending on a fresh mailbox, sender reputation destroyed in three days.
Meetlane provides a dedicated domain and mailboxes, properly authenticated, and warms them up before sending. You are therefore not prospecting from your main domain, the one your invoicing and client communications run on. That is serious protection: a poorly calibrated campaign from your business domain can land you in spam with your own clients.
If this resonates, our guide on email deliverability and how to stop landing in spam details the settings Meetlane saves you from learning.
3. It writes, sends, follows up, and qualifies
The agent drafts personalized messages from prospect context, sends them, follows up on a cadence, reads replies, classifies them (interested / not now / no), and pushes qualified leads into an internal CRM, or yours, via API, Zapier, or Make.
That last point matters for an SMB: an agent that delivers sorted replies is worth more than a tool that gives you one more inbox to manage.
4. It sends physical mail
Meetlane can trigger the sending of a personalized letter or postcard, the Manuscry component from the same parent company. We detailed the mechanics and use cases in our AI handwritten mail for prospecting guide.
The logic is arithmetic. A decision-maker's inbox receives 40 pitches per day; their physical mailbox receives one. The attention rate is incomparable. So is the cost: a letter runs a few euros where an email costs a fraction of a cent. You do not do cold paper at scale. You reserve it for follow-ups on high-value accounts that opened without replying.
Real pricing (July 2026)
| Plan | Price excl. tax / month | Indicative volume | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | EUR 99 | ~200 new prospects contacted | Freelancer, micro-business, serious test |
| Pro | EUR 179 | ~400 prospects | Small business with a short sales cycle |
| Scale | EUR 399 | ~1,000 prospects | SMB with a real flow requirement |
| Agent team | ~EUR 699 | Multi-agent, monthly review | Organization with multiple offers/targets |
No commitment, first month free, two-month discount on annual billing. Physical mail is billed per send, on top: that is the line to remember in your budget if you plan to use it regularly.
The honest math
The publisher compares its price to a junior SDR (a salesperson dedicated to prospecting). The comparison is flattering but not absurd: an SDR costs EUR 2,500 to 3,500 fully loaded per month. Except an SDR also provides human qualification, phone outreach, and nuance, things no agent does today.
The better calculation is more grounded:
Meetlane is profitable if customer value x your close rate x the number of meetings generated exceeds the subscription.
Concretely: with an average deal size of EUR 3,000, a 25% close rate, and just one qualified meeting per month, the Starter plan (EUR 99) pays for itself seven times over. With a EUR 400 deal size and a long cycle, you need much more volume, and you should probably look at LinkedIn with Waalaxy first, which costs less.
The common-sense threshold: if a client brings in less than EUR 1,000, automated outbound prospecting is rarely the right channel. Work on your inbound acquisition instead.
What to know before signing up
The agent does not replace your strategy
This is the structural limitation, and it is not technical. An AI agent executes fast. If your targeting is vague or your value proposition generic, it produces volume of mediocrity, burning in three weeks a prospect list you could have worked properly.
Before launching an agent, you should be able to write in one sentence: who you target, what specific problem you solve for them, and what proof you offer. If you cannot, the tool will not change that. Our guide automating B2B prospecting with AI covers this framing before the tooling.
GDPR remains your responsibility
In B2B, email prospecting to a professional address is allowed without prior consent, provided the message relates to the recipient's role, the sender is clearly identifiable, and a simple opt-out is offered. This is the consistent position of the CNIL (French data protection authority).
An AI agent does not change this rule: it multiplies volume, and therefore exposure. Three non-negotiable habits: opt-out mention in every message, immediate processing of unsubscribe requests, and registration of prospecting in your processing register. The tool gives you the engine; compliance stays at the wheel.
The publisher's numbers are a publisher's numbers
Meetlane claims "12x more meetings than a basic cold-emailing campaign." We have no way to verify this ratio independently, and it depends heavily on market, deal size, and offer. Treat it as a sales argument, not data. The only number that matters is yours, measured over your first month, which is free, making the test low-risk.
What Meetlane does not do
- No phone. The agent does not make calls. If your market is worked via phone, this is not the tool.
- No B2C prospecting. The legal framework differs (prior consent required) and the tool is not built for it.
- No miracles on a saturated market. If your prospects already receive fifteen sequences per week in your category, email alone will not cut it. That is precisely where the direct mail component makes sense.
Meetlane versus the alternatives
| Meetlane | lemlist / Instantly | Waalaxy | Human SDR | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nature | Autonomous agent | Campaign tool | LinkedIn tool | Human |
| You provide | The target | The list + messages + infra | The profiles | The brief |
| Channels | Email, LinkedIn, mail | Email (+ LinkedIn) | LinkedIn (+ email) | All |
| Sending infra | Included | Your responsibility | N/A | N/A |
| Cost / month | EUR 99-399 | EUR 50-100 + database + warmup | ~EUR 30-80 | EUR 2,500-3,500 |
| Origin | France (Nantes) | France / USA | France (Lyon) | N/A |
Our reading. If you already have a clean prospect database, a healthy sending infrastructure, and someone to write copy, lemlist or Instantly will cost less. If you are starting from zero and nobody on your team has time to learn deliverability, Meetlane sells you exactly that time. And if your target lives on LinkedIn rather than in inboxes, start with Waalaxy, which costs a third of the price.
The alternative we recommend testing in parallel: Waalaxy, to cover the LinkedIn channel on a small budget. Both profiles are in our AI tools library.
Meetlane's Batemark Score: 75/100 (Very good)
- Value for money: fair. EUR 99 for ~200 prospects contacted is coherent when infrastructure and database are included, but it is a real budget for a micro-business. The profitability threshold requires an average deal size above EUR 1,000.
- Ease of use: good. Claimed ten-minute launch, and that is credible: the core setup is a targeting brief, not a technical project.
- Power and features: fair. The agent covers the full chain, but remains less deep than a high-end sales engagement platform (no highly granular conditional sequences, no phone).
- Integrations and ecosystem: fair. Documented REST API, Zapier, Make, CRM. Enough to plug the agent into your system, without an extension ecosystem.
- SMB / France relevance: excellent. Nantes-based publisher, French-language interface and support, euro billing, public and transparent pricing. Three things that are rare in this category dominated by American players.
- Support and community: fair. Direct support (chat, phone, demo), documentation and guides. Community still small.
Verdict. Meetlane is a good buy for a B2B SMB with high deal values that has no dedicated salesperson and no desire to become a deliverability expert. It is a bad buy for low deal values, for B2C, or for a company that has not yet clarified its offer. In that last case, the agent will only accelerate failure.

Our verdict
The right question is not "can AI prospect?" It can, mechanically, very well. The right question is: what do you do with the time it gives back?
A prospecting agent is an amplifier. It amplifies a clear offer and precise targeting; it also amplifies, with the same ruthless efficiency, a hollow message sent to the wrong people. The first month is free: use it to test your message, not the tool.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Meetlane cost in 2026?
Three plans, no commitment, first month free: Starter at EUR 99 excl. tax per month (roughly 200 new prospects contacted), Pro at EUR 179 excl. tax per month (roughly 400), and Scale at EUR 399 excl. tax per month (roughly 1,000). A multi-agent team package exists around EUR 699 excl. tax per month for high volumes. The price includes the prospect database, dedicated mailboxes, warmup, and the agent. Physical mail is billed per send, on top.
Does Meetlane truly prospect on my behalf?
Mechanically, yes: profile search matching your target, contact enrichment, personalized writing, sending, follow-up, and response management through to qualification. What it does not do for you: define your target, your value proposition, and your offer. A poorly briefed agent prospects into the void fast. That is the real risk, not the technology.
What is the difference between Meetlane and lemlist or Instantly?
Lemlist and Instantly are campaign tools: you drive, you supply the list, you manage deliverability, you write the sequences. Meetlane is an agent: it handles the entire chain, sending infrastructure included (dedicated domain, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, warmup). You pay more per month, but you do not buy three tools on the side and you do not spend your evenings monitoring a deliverability score.
Is automated physical mail a gimmick?
No, but it is a differentiation lever, not a mass channel. A decision-maker's inbox receives dozens of pitches per day; their physical mailbox receives one or two. Direct mail costs more per contact, so you reserve it for high-value accounts: the right use is a paper follow-up on prospects who opened without replying, not a cold mail blast to 1,000 contacts.
Is cold outreach with an AI agent legal in France?
In B2B, email prospecting to a professional address (generic or named) is allowed without prior consent, provided the message relates to the recipient's role, the sender's identity is clear, and a simple opt-out mechanism is offered (CNIL position). An AI agent does not change the rule. It only increases volume, and therefore exposure. Opt-out mention, immediate processing of unsubscribe requests, and inclusion in your processing register: those are your responsibilities, not the tool's.
What is Meetlane's Batemark Score?
75/100 (Very good). It scores well on SMB/France relevance (Nantes-based publisher, French-language support, transparent pricing) and on ease of onboarding. It loses points on value for money (EUR 99 per month for roughly 200 prospects is a real budget for a micro-business) and on feature depth compared to American sales engagement platforms.
